Oilfield Cementing Tools, Top & Bottom Cementing Plug, 120°C
The cementing plug plays the role of isolating drilling fluid and cement slurry and pressing in the cementing operation. The rubber plug is divided into upper plug and lower plug. The difference between the top plug and the bottom plug is that the bottom plug has a rupture disk. The purpose of the upper plug is to separate the cement slurry from the fluid behind it to minimize damage. Different from the lower rubber plug, the rubber plug is placed behind the cement slurry, which is solid and can block the rubber plug. When the upper rubber plug hits the lower rubber plug, the pressure will rise, indicating that the cementing operation is over. The rubber plug is placed in front of the cement slurry to minimize mixing of the cement slurry with the drilling fluid and to minimize damage. The lower rubber plug can also scrape off the floating mud on the inner wall of the casing. When the lower rubber plug descends to the floating hoop, the pressure difference will cause the rupture disc in the lower rubber plug to rupture, and the cement slurry enters the annulus.
